For
the past 40+ years of my life, I have devoted my spare time to photographing
many of nature's wonders. I have primarily photographed places that could be
experienced by ordinary people, without undue expense or physical exertion.
I do backpack and hike to some remote locations, but still try to remain in
areas that could be visited by a person in normal physical condition, and with
modest cost. Although I visit many familiar places, I try to bring a fresh perspective
to them. Having been raised in Utah and Wyoming in my youth I relate to the
great outdoors, as it was an intimate part of my growing up. My aim is to instill
an appreciation for these places of beauty, and a desire to preserve them for
future generations. I studied photography at L.A Trade Tech and have worked
in the photo industry for over 20 years. We use film and digital to record our
images but produce our prints digitally. Since I have also had extensive training
with computers and graphics software, I feel very much at home in this environment.
We also believe digital prints have the least impact on the environment. My
wife, Roberta, works with me in the business and has recently begun doing her own photography. This will add to our diversity as Roberta has exhibited a unique talent of her own.
You will see more and more of her work on our website.
Roberta and I attend several local and regional
art festivals each year, where we display our framed artwork. We post our schedule
on this website in the News heading. Check this section regularly to see updates of our schedule. If you are in the
area of one of our shows, please stop in to say hello and see our latest images.
We usually travel and obtain more images October through April, so we don't
do many shows during these months.
