A long time
ago, my nephew and I, hiked across the Grand Canyon. We went from the South
Rim to the North Rim, just backwards of the way you should do it! The north
rim is more than 1000 feet higher than the South Rim. We felt every inch
of that extra 1000 feet as we plodded up the Bright Angel Trail. Lesson
learned, I pass this bit of wisdom on to you - 'if you are going to hike
across the Grand Canyon, do it from the North Rim to the South Rim'. Your
feet and lungs will thank you!
