This is a
great view! The late afternoon sun made the bright red foreground formations
stand out from the hazy lavender background. This is one of the most colorful
views on the North Rim, and one that definitely says 'Grand Canyon'. Just
think - we narrowly missed having the government build a dam and fill the
Grand Canyon with water. You would think that destroying Glen Canyon would
have been enough! Thanks Sierra Club, and all who opposed the Grand Canyon
dam!
