This is the
classic view of Yosemite Valley you see as you emerge from the tunnel at
El Portal. Note the rainbow at the foot of Bridal Veil Falls. This is perhaps
one of the most recognized scenes in the world, a genuine classic. Yosemite
Valley is also one of the most unique mountain valleys in the word. Carved
by glaciers during the ice age, it is exceptionally beautiful. I know if
no place with more dramatic scenery packed into such a small valley. However,
Yosemite National park is very large, but most people never venture beyond
the valley you see here.
