Who could
resist taking this photo? Half Dome, the Moon, and some interesting clouds.
Works for me! Half dome is touted as being the most recognizable landmark
in the world. It certainly is unique. I wonder how long it took the glacier
to sheer off half of the dome? Actually it probably plucked away at it rather
than sheered it off, but the result is certainly spectacular. You can climb
Half dome two ways. Either the traditional rope & rock route up the
sheer face, or the much safer cable route up the sloping side. I am sure
both are exhilarating! Can you imagine the view from up there?
