The beautiful
turquoise color of the lake comes the the glacial flour suspended in it's
water. This flour is made as the glacier at the head of the lake slowly
grinds away at the mountains on which it lies. The Mistaya Valley beyond
the lake is magnificent. Canada can be rightly proud of its national parks,
they are exceptionally beautiful! This scene can no longer be photographed
as it is here. The tree is gone and there is an observation platform in
its place. Too bad, it was a great little tree!
