Mt. Washington
peeks above the horizon near McKenzie Pass. Mt. Washington is 7,790 feet
in elevation. The summit is a volcanic plug that formed in what was once
a larger volcano. There is evidence that there was volcanic activity in
the area around Mt. Washington about 1330 years ago.
