This
image was taken from the viewpoint along highway 101 south of the lighthouse.
It shows the rugged setting for one of Oregon's most beautiful, and fully
functional, lighthouses. For a photo like this, timing is everything. You
will want the light shining directly at you, it takes several tries but
is worth the effort. It also takes perseverance. It was cold, overcast and
drizzling rain when I took this shot. I had to get up while it was still
dark and drive to the vantage point and then just wait for things to happen.
