Point is not a very easy place to get to! Sure, you can drive there, if your
driving a tank! T road is not recommended for passenger cars for good reason.
When it is dry it is deeply rutted and full of soft sand. I can only imagine
what a nightmare it would be when wet! I have a 3/4 ton pickup with high clearance
and I felt pretty proud of myself for being able to make that eight mile drive
(especially since it was in the middle of the night). Several times I almost
got stuck in the sand. I thought about turning back, but there was no place
to turn around! I drove like a possessed maniac, determined that I would not
let this dastardly road defeat me, even though I might need a kidney transplant
from all the bumps and jolts! Exhausted, and proud, I finally arrived at the
little parking area at the end of that terrible road! There, in my headlights,
I saw a young couple lying in their sleeping bags, next to their little Ford
Escort!
