There are
always two public buildings that a new community builds as soon as possible,
a church and a school. Here is where the Mormon pioneers that settled this
area schooled their children. As primitive as it looks to us, I am sure
the residents of Fruita were justifiably proud of it. And I am also sure
that it provided a valuable service to it's community. It was well made
and looks like it would be perfectly serviceable, even today.
