The early
visitors to Arches thought that this reminded them of the rows of tall buildings
in New York, so they gave it the name 'Park Avenue'. Those very tall sandstone
slabs are also very thin! A truly beautiful sight. You can take a trail
down through the little valley and rejoin the park road at the other end.
The trail is about a mile and a half long.
