The high
plateau country of Zion, along the Mt. Carmel highway, has some of the most
colorful formations in the park. These pink and cream colored formations
shown here are a small example of the unusual colors to be found here. Fortunately
there are many, though not enough, turnouts along this highway so that you
can stop to admire, and photograph, these unusual sights. Plus, the drive
through the tunnel on this road is one of the highlights to any Zion trip.
