This is,
perhaps, my favorite photo of Arches National Park. Even though there is
not an arch in sight, the dramatic lighting and vibrant colors give this
photo striking drama. By slightly underexposing the photo, that drama is
enhanced. Again I used an old snag for foreground interest. And yes, the
sand around that snag is really that red. I looked for this scene again
in 2003 but could not find it. The snag has vanished.
