This nice
view of 'The Castle' can be seen as you drive along highway 24 toward the
Town of Torrey. The very rich colors of the various layers of strata is
very striking, culminating with the golden hues of 'The Castle'. I believe
Capital Reef National Park is one of our most colorful National Parks. It
also has great diversity in its scenery. It's a large park with lots to
see and do. There are breath taking trails, beautiful arches, Indian ruins
and magnificent rock formations in a great variety of deep saturated colors.
