This nice
autumn scene was just begging to be photographed. I was only too happy to
oblige. Alder trees don't turn pretty colors in the fall, but their grayish
trunks and moss patches make a nice complement to the vine maple, which
does have very nice fall colors. We don't get the lavish autumn leaf displays
that are so prevalent in the east. But our winters are more colorful than
those in the east. Most of our trees stay green, and they are beautiful
when covered with snow.
