In
our wet forest lands, you can find mushrooms growing just about anyplace.
These were growing on a piece of rotting wood that was wedged between some
rocks, giving the impression that they were growing out of the rocks. Mushrooms
play an important part in natures ecology by breaking down the nutrients
in decaying matter. They manage to look good while doing it! I happen to
enjoy eating mushrooms, but I stick to the store bought variety as you have
to be very expert at identifying wild mushrooms or you could end up very
sick (or dead)!
