Peak looks somewhat like The Matterhorn. At any rate it is a very classic
pyramid shape. The peaks of the Cascade range are not as high as the Sierras
or Rockies (except for the large volcanos). However, their base is much
nearer sea level and that means that the rise is very high and very steep.
That makes them look as high and rugged as other higher mountains. In fact,
measured from their base, that is true.
