I was cross
country skiing (my first time) through some of the meadows in Grand Teton
National Park. It was to foggy and cloudy to actually see the Tetons, but
this beautiful snow scene caught my attention. The light overcast conditions
were just enough to lower the contrast of the scene to allow good photographs.
I am often asked how I managed to capture the sparkle in the snow. The secret
is back lighting, shooting toward the light source.
